This project gave me the opportunity to pay homage to one of my most favorate TV shows of all time, Star Trek - The Next Generation. The idea for the game level is a survial-style simulation is inside the holodeck room aboard the Enterprise. The player starts off stranded inside a large crator and must collect enough DyLithium crystals to power their shuttle craft and escape the planet.
The project was created as an assignment for our Virtual Reality Technology module in college. The final working level was created using Unreal Engine 4. The landscape was created inside the Unreal Engine using the landscape tool. The Sky was created using Skysphere and the 3D models were created using 3D Studio Max and later imported into UE4.
